Raised in Iroquois Falls, Ontario, Ben joined Maisonneuve Labelle in September 2011. His focus centres upon criminal defence work, having represented thousands of clients on charges ranging from Mischief to Murder, inclusive of any and all drug-related offences. Ben routinely appears in both the Ontario Court of Justice as well as the Superior Court of Justice, catering to communities such as Hearst, Kapuskasing, Smooth Rock Falls, Cochrane, Iroquois Falls, Timmins, as well as coastal communities (Kashechewan, Attawapiskat, Moosonee, and Fort Albany).

Ben is an active member of the Criminal Lawyers’ Association and remains dedicated to providing straight-forward and professional advice to complex legal issues.

Prior to joining Maisonneuve & Associates, Ben obtained his Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) from the University of Guelph where he graduated With Distinction. He later obtained his Bachelor of Laws from the University of Western (Ontario) and articled with the Bay Street (Toronto) firm of Fraser Milner Casgrain.

When not working, Ben sits on the Board of Directors for the Timmins Rock Junior ‘A’ Hockey Club. He also enjoys riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and is the proud Father of a German Shepherd named “Frank”.
